Moving out

210607s.jpg

They sure don’t waste any time moving on. We checked the nest two days ago and all the birds had already left, which is surprising as it was only about two weeks in total that they were in there.

They were all hopping around in the back yard being taught the intricacies of Robinhood by a screeching mom.

We have one nest available now.

Hmm Hmm Hmmmmm….

Hummer

200607s.jpg

Ever since we put up a humming bird feeder there has been a humming noise on the back porch, apparently the feeder is quite popular among the local humming bird community. Getting a picture of one of these little things is quite a challenge, which I have been trying to do for the last week. I finally managed to snap one yesterday by sitting very still in the hot tub with the camera and waiting. Fortunately sitting still in the hot tub isn’t that hard to do. Not dropping the camera is another challenge.

Hot Pink

Insulation installation…

190607s.jpg

Finally, some progress back there. Yesterday three poor souls installed the insulation in the steamy hot building. Now that it is complete it is dramatically cooler in there. I could not imagine a worse task in the extremely hot weather we get here in the summer.

Must have done it right, the county inspector was here this morning and added another encouraging “Passed” inspection tag to the collection.
