Dog Day Afternoon

Oscar and Bryn

210808.jpg

A couple of content chihuahua’s laying in the sun outside my office window.

Bryn is in the pen, Oscar is lying in the grass. I think I’ll have to go poke Oscar, he looks dead.

Update After poking he was found to be alive, just soaking up some rays.

Nest Building Swallow

200808.jpg

Last month this little guy built a nest above my hot tub.  They had 4 birdlets which proceeded to make a nice mess everywhere.  I’m surprised they survived as every time I left the house (the door is next to the nest) they would dart out of the nest for 15 minutes.

They are all gone now, except for the mess….

Re-Roof

Long overdue!

190808.jpg

High on the list of necessities for our old house was a new roof, which finally happened last week.  We started hunting for a roofer in the spring, and it took until now to get one finalized, and get the job done.

In the end they did a great job, replaced the entire roof, new sheathing, felt and new shingles.  We also had all the eves and downspouts replaced and installed gutter guards to keep all the leaves out, which is a major issue here with 100 trees surrounding the house.

I created a gallery of the work in progress, click on the image below to start it up…
