Vertical Turnout

Fresh from the assembly fixture…..

portable turnout

A different angle of this shot from last week. This large portable turnout was sitting in Burlington, not sure where it was destined to though, although there were some maintenance workers in the area doing something to the mainline about half a mile down the tracks.

  1. Hey Tim:

C’mon – fess up. That’s actually one of yours. I hear the real railways are starting to use Fast Tracks fixtures…

  2. You would be surprised to find out just how many requests we get from overseas railway companies for real track supplies and tools. In one case a chap from India was so insistent that we provide a quote for rail and track building tools that I finally had to clarify what we do by telling him “We sell toy trains.”! The words ‘model railroad’ did not translate well into Hindi I guess.
