One mans junk…

Is usually another mans junk.

A few of the things that got dug up while excavating for the new building. Apparently, according to the neighbor, there was once a cattle barn back there that burned and it appears most of the debris was simply pushed into a pit and buried. We had to excavate most of this debris and replace it with new clean fill. Most of it was just bricks, but there was also lots of bottles and this brass casting. I have no idea what the casting is, or was. It kind of looks like part of an old gate, or perhaps a fireplace screen. Its solid brass.

And of course the obligatory Milk of Magnesia bottle.
