About the Author:
I'm your host, Tim Warris, a product developer in Burford, Ontario. Since March of 2007 I have been documenting the construction of the former CNJ Bronx Terminal in HO and N scale. For my day job, I design track building tools for Fast Tracks, a small family owned company I co-founded and currently operate with Ron, Russ and Scott Warris, my brothers in arms. Fast Tracks makes it fast and easy to hand lay your own trackwork. Stop by our website to learn more!

Your layout is very well designed. I am surprised you managed to fit all that in the back of a van/people carrier like that.
The low level track shorts are great too. I;m looking forward to more construction posts in the new year.
Merry Christmas
Hey Tim! I was reading some books on the Google Book image about trackwork and I ran across something I thought you might find interesting. It has a book entitled “Notes on track: construction and maintenance” By Walter Mason Camp, with full (scanned) PDF available for download. On page 467 is a diagram of the “Harlem Transfer Company”.
Interesting is some of the notes, which may also apply to your Bronx Terminal as the designs are similar. Curves widened a half inch, outer rail raised 2 inches, and they talk about special coupling bars.
Enjoy!
Poke…hey Tim you still with us?
LOL!!!
