Little used line
I took this shot earlier in the summer just to the right of this one. I believe this was part of the old LE&N line that ran back to Paris. Still there, but not used much anymore…

Hi Tim,
That’s exactly what it is. You must have been fairly close to the old TH&B line that crossed this track on it’s way across the Grand River and then on to Waterford. While in the area last month I noticed that the old TH&B “Silver Bridge” is still there! I wish I’d had more time to visit familiar surroundings.
The rails appear to be shiny in the photo, as if the line was used recently. I wonder…

Someone is doing some nice right-o-way maintenance on the grass and shrubbery. Looks like weed control is attended too as well. I don’t suspect the present railroad makes the effort.
