All curved rail and frogs through 12 turnouts in the space that would fit 3 normal turnouts.<\/p>\n<p><a href=\"https:\/\/www.bronx-terminal.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/brp6-4.jpg\" title=\"brp6-4.jpg\"><img decoding=\"async\" src=\"https:\/\/www.bronx-terminal.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/brp6-4s.jpg\" title=\"brp6-4s.jpg\" alt=\"brp6-4s.jpg\" border=\"2\" \/><\/a><\/p>\n<p>Hard to photograph too&#8230;<\/p>\n<p><a href=\"https:\/\/www.bronx-terminal.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/brp6-3.jpg\" title=\"brp6-3.jpg\"><img decoding=\"async\" src=\"https:\/\/www.bronx-terminal.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/brp6-3s.jpg\" title=\"brp6-3s.jpg\" alt=\"brp6-3s.jpg\" border=\"2\" \/><\/a><\/p>\n<p><a href=\"https:\/\/www.bronx-terminal.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/brp6-5.jpg\" title=\"brp6-5.jpg\"><img decoding=\"async\" src=\"https:\/\/www.bronx-terminal.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/brp6-5s.jpg\" title=\"brp6-5s.jpg\" alt=\"brp6-5s.jpg\" border=\"2\" \/><\/a><\/p>\n<p>Since the switch points on these turnouts are very short, they will have to pivot in order to work properly.  To do this I made the points\/closure rails as a single piece, and just prior to installing on the layout I will cut the points off the closure rail with a jewelers saw and re-join with half a rail joiner soldered to the end of the closure rail.  This will allow the point to pivot freely.  To pivot the other end I will use the technique outlined in one of our <a href=\"http:\/\/www.handlaidtrack.com\/forums\/viewtopic.php?t=14\" target=\"_blank\">previous newsletters<\/a>.<\/p>\n<p>This technique uses a spike soldered to the switch point that passes through the PC board throwbar.  This allows the point end to also pivot freely.<br \/>\n<img decoding=\"async\" src=\"http:\/\/www.handlaidtrack.com\/images\/newsletters\/issue-8-photo-9-l.jpg\" title=\"Pivot point\" alt=\"Pivot point\" border=\"2\" width=\"500\" \/><\/p>\n<p>This is an N scale code 55 turnout with this technique applied to the throw bar.<\/p>\n<p><a href=\"https:\/\/www.bronx-terminal.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/brp6-6.jpg\" title=\"brp6-6.jpg\"><img decoding=\"async\" src=\"https:\/\/www.bronx-terminal.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/brp6-6s.jpg\" title=\"brp6-6s.jpg\" alt=\"brp6-6s.jpg\" border=\"2\" \/><\/a><\/p>\n<p>In the mean time, I have temporarily soldered the throw bars in place and am holding the points open with a small piece of PC board tie so I can play with the trackwork.<\/p>\n<p><a href=\"https:\/\/www.bronx-terminal.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/brp6-7.jpg\" title=\"brp6-7.jpg\"><img decoding=\"async\" src=\"https:\/\/www.bronx-terminal.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/brp6-7s.jpg\" title=\"brp6-7s.jpg\" alt=\"brp6-7s.jpg\" border=\"2\" \/><\/a><\/p>\n<p><a href=\"https:\/\/www.bronx-terminal.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/brp6-8.jpg\" title=\"brp6-8.jpg\"><img decoding=\"async\" src=\"https:\/\/www.bronx-terminal.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/brp6-8s.jpg\" title=\"brp6-8s.jpg\" alt=\"brp6-8s.jpg\" border=\"2\" \/><\/a><\/p>\n<p>Part 6 with the quad diamond in place.<\/p>\n<p><a href=\"https:\/\/www.bronx-terminal.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/brp6-9.jpg\" title=\"brp6-9.jpg\"><img decoding=\"async\" src=\"https:\/\/www.bronx-terminal.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/brp6-9s.jpg\" title=\"brp6-9s.jpg\" alt=\"brp6-9s.jpg\" border=\"2\" \/><\/a><\/p>\n<p>The business end of the Bronx Terminal.  This piece marks the end of the real complex trackwork.  Left to build are three single turnouts of various geometry and one crossover.  Plus all the straight and radii track.
