Night Ship

Lake Ontario

Taken from the St. Catherines side of Lake Ontario the other night while out for a ride on the bike. Can you spot Toronto across the lake?

This is the summer version of this picture taken a few years back.

Laker

Welland Canal, Port Colborne, Ontario

Shot last night at the Welland Canal in Port Colborne. If you need a dose of heavy industry and transportation, this is the place.

It was worth the 200 mile bike ride last evening….

Amarillo Yard

1943

280607s.jpg

This is a good staring picture. Hard to believe that this picture, taken by Jack Delano in 1943 is as old as it is. I always thought the 1940’s were in black and white.

Here is a large version, Amarillo Yard – large version that reveals lots of detail.
