Waterford Wye

From above

Waterford2HDR.jpg

Wandered along the remains of the CASO sub yesterday and snapped a few shots of what is left. This is looking west from Waterford, Ont. Directly in front is one leg of a wye that was built almost completely over a lake. I am standing on the abandoned TH&B bridge spanning the mainline of the CASO.

It was extremely COLD up there yesterday!

Country Store on a Dirt Road

Here is a scene right off of any narrow gauge layout! The large version of the image is a great study in old details. The next time you hear someone say “but it didn’t look like that back then, there is too much clutter” you will know better!

Notice the nail holes….

Sexy curves

Only a track buff would find this curve sexy, but I confess, it is a nice looking bit of geometry.
