I passed on this hat.

I decide to go with something a bit more slimming, the horizontal stripes emphasize my mid-section.

Owl

Port Colborne, Ont.

barn owl

One of the many interesting displays last weekend at “Canal Days” in Port Colborne was the “Birds of Prey”.  They had a large collection of Owls, Hawks, Falcons and Eagles.  This guy was being carried around on someones arm and was very accessible.  I was able to get right next to it to get several close shots.  He wasen’t looking at me, rather my little chiwawa, which I’m sure he thought would make a good snack.

Sunny Flower

sunflower

When we returned form California the other week I could not believe how much our garden grew in a week! Its been non-stop rain this summer, which the plants love!

A bunch of sunflowers sprouted up on their own in the spring, now they are all about 8′ tall!
