Quite a dumping of snow is forcast here for the next day or so, perhaps this picture taken yesterday is just a bit of a coming attraction. I love a good snowstorm, and we don’t seem to get them very often anymore, so when we do I love to grab the camera and get some snowy shots. If we get a decent amount I will be out later today for more!

  1. Nice photo, Tim!
I especially like the broom shoved into the grab handles on the nose of the locomotive.
I’m looking forward to seeing more shots… keep ’em coming!

  2. I hadn’t even noticed the broom, good eye! Today looks like a good day for dramatic pictures (and driving), think I’ll venture out after lunch. If you don’t hear from me for a few days send out a search crew…

  3. Hi Tim,

I’m not sure where you were to take this photo but it appears to be near or on Power Line Road. If so, my dad used to work for Ontario Hydro and their garage/shop was just behind where the photo was taken. I still remember the westbound CNR Hudsons and Northerns that would literally “scream by” at speeds approaching 100 mph with their passenger consists (circa mid 1950’s).
