Squall

10 minute blizzard

DSC_5425.jpg

While it looks like a full blown blizzard in my back yard yesterday, it is only a snow squall. In our part of the “great white north” we don’t get much snow in the winters, just a few dumpings and usually a thaw shortly after. What we do get often are little mini blizzards, or snow squalls which only last a few minutes but reek havoc on the roads as it is instantly a complete white out.

I miss snow, just once I would like to see a good ol’ blizzard dumping 2 feet of snow, but that only seems to happen north of here, in the US.
