An interesting work train sitting in Burlington yesterday.  A multi-section portable turnout, appears to be a fairly large size, probably a #16.

  1. Great shot, have seen sections of switches in yard in Oklahoma City, in short sided gons. I like the brightly colored bracing to support the switches on the car.

    Now just to build one and cut it up and make the braces for a HO version to run on the layout.

    any chance of a quick drawing of how to cut a turn-out to make the pieces to fit a car?
