Port Colborne Harbour

Port Colborne, Ontario

port colborne

We spent the day yesterday in Port Colborne at the end of the Welland Canal (it was a long weekend on Ontario). Yesterday was the annual “Canal Days” festival.  It was a great day, lots to see and do.  We took a 90 minute cruise on a sailboat into Lake Erie.  On the way out of the harbour I took this shot of a fireboat making its way back to Buffalo, New York as it passed one of the flour mills along the canal.

Laser Cut Structure

Not much modeling for the next while for me. 🙁

I thought I would post a shot of a project I did a while back. This elevated crossing tower is based on a Canadian National prototype that sat in London, Ontario. I worked from an image in one of Ian Wilson’s books to get the proportions correct.
