Blood Red Moon

Total Lunar Eclipse

I took this picture about 20 minutes ago out on the back deck. The moon has completely turned red as a total lunar eclipse is visible here tonight. I guess this is a sign of the imminent end of the world or something.

Made for an interesting soak in the hot tub tonight…

White Tree

Any idea what it is?

I spotted this tree yesterday along the side of the road not far from here (Southern Ontario) . I don’t think I have ever seen one of these before. Its almost completely white, with no bark. Not a Birtch with its trademark paper bark, this has a smooth white surface and is quite large, like a full size oak or maple. Any ideas?

Last years snow

Since I ran out of good pictures from this year I have to resort to digging though last years. It looks a lot like this back there today so I figured this picture taken this time last year would do…

I might grab the camera and head out this afternoon for a while. Time to replenish the picture folders…
