Day 58

Interior wiring

160507bs.jpg

With all the construction work now complete, we can get inside and complete the interior wiring. Since we all have a lot of experience with residential wiring we decided to take this on ourselves, this way we can be sure we will get exactly what we want without having to fight with what a contractor thinks we should have. Lets just say we will not be hunting for a plug socket in this building.

We all pitched in over the weekend and got lots of wire in place. That is Russ and I on the stools, Ron is directing the operation.

Steel Mill

Dofasco in HDR

150507s.jpg

This is a great location in Hamilton for taking pictures down into the Dofasco Steel mill. The down side to this location is that one has to risk their life to get here. This is shot from the side of a highway overpass, and right next to a “nest” of security guards who might not take too well to people with cameras. The security guard building is just to the left of the stop sign at the bottom left of the picture. I manages to snap off a half dozen shots in 15 seconds and get out of site. Its amazing how nervous a camera can make people.

I was in Hamilton yesterday and thought I would re-shoot the same picture I took last year at this same spot. It is one of my favorites and I wanted to create one in HDR as well.
