Tilt-Shift Maker

I found a nifty site that will automatically create pseudo Tilt-Shift or “fake model” images.

I have played around with these in the past using Photoshop, and the results can be quite cool. Any image, shot from an angle that will simulate the viewing distance to a typical model, can be blurred to create an image that very convincingly looks like a model.

Here is a gallery of my previous versions. None of these are models, only real images modified to look like pictures of models.

Today I found an interesting site that will create these for you, all you need is to upload the image and set the focal area. It works pretty good, but not as well as Photoshop.

I made the image above using this site, starting with a shot of Cajon Pass taken last July when we were at the NMRA convention in Anaheim.
