Toronto Christmas Train Show

Break from benchwork….

Spent the afternoon at the Christmas Train Show at the International Centre in Toronto today. A bit light on vendors, but the display layouts were pretty good. I was surprised to see how many of them are using Fast Tracks turnouts.

I have installed (okay, Ron installed), a gallery viewer and I thought I would try it with these pictures. Click on any image that looks interesting to see a large version. Hover your mouse over the image near the top and “Next” and “Prev” tabs will appear to allow you to scroll between images. What do you think, does this make it easy to view images? Using this system allows me to upload images much faster and easier.

For some reason all of 'Doc' Fayle's layouts feature some scantily clad women....DSC_4329.jpg

Drawers and Top

Workbench continued….

Under the hand tool drawer I like to keep all the various chemicals I use when building models. I had this arrangement in the last bench and it seemed to work very well. I am going to add two drawers here.

Back to the Benches

A bit of progress….

Getting tired of working on the floor I decided to build a quick bench to work on. I had a few of those metal brackets used for shelving around so I made a bench to work on. I built it the same height as the saw so I could use it for an outfeed table. Cutting sheets of plywood can be a real pain without something to support the material being cut. This takes all the work out of it!
