Nikon D80

After 2 years of debating we decided to finally buy a higher level digital SLR camera, a Nikon D80 Up until now all the pictures on the site have been taken with a Nikon Coolpix L1, which isn’t a bad camera, but its built in lens is a bit of a limitation.
Both my brothers have a Nikon camera, a D100 and a D1. I have been using the D1 occasionally for site pictures, but as this was the very first professional level digital camera Nikon produced it had some severe limitations when taking pictures in low light. What it does have are 3 increadible lenses, a 17-35 wide angle, 30-70 and a 300mm zoom. As these are all Nikon lenses, it was a no brainer that I would be buying a Nikon body to mount them onto. Hopefully the quality of the images on the site should be a bit better.
Ever since we finished re-modeling the kitchen I have been trying to get a decent shot of it at night with the lights on, as it looks pretty cool in here then. The D1 just wasn’t up to the job, and the Coolpix doesn’t have a wide enough lens to get it all in. So last night I finally was able to get a shot of most of the kitchen. Cucina di Vita as it is known.
Vita makes some mighty fine meals here. I occasionally make toast.
