In HO Scale

I had the track plan plotted out full size for HO scale to get a feel for the size of the completed layout. Here is a shot with some HO cars and the completed sections of track placed on it.

Its actually larger than I thought, especially the curved freight house in the centre, which scales out to 25″x22″.

I have almost completed the design of the 4th and 5th sections and hope to build these this week sometime. I will post some pictures of the design work as soon as they are complete.

Delhi Train Station

My Hometown.

I can honestly say that this is the only picture of the Delhi, Ontario train station on the net. (I think). I have been looking for an image of this station that existed before my time in my home town of Delhi. Fortunately, one finally surfaced and thanks to Charles Cooper of RailwayPages.com I now have one. This image is from the Al Paterson collection, and he was kind enough to send it to me.

Among other great information, his site has a great history on the History of Railroads in Haldimand-Norfolk, very well researched and written, worth a look.
