Mmmm, I’ll bet those tomatoes had a nice coal tar flavour to them.
Another find from Shorpy, this Jack Delano photo from 1943 shows Chicago & North Western RR railroad workers cultivating a little Victory garden at the Proviso Yard. I am amazed at the quality of the colour and composition of the photos shot by Jack Delano in the 40’s, they rival anything shot in digital today. No instant feedback and delete key on the old Kodachrome 4×5 camera.

Generally, the rule of thumb, Digital equivalent of 35mm ISO 100 film is about 16 megapixels.
