Installing Switch Machines

Me and the Dog and some Turtles

A bit of video of installing a Tortoise switch machine in place. This is a bit out of sequence, as it was shot before the video showing me testing the trackwork. I just got to editing it now, so pretend it came first…

  1. Tim,
You may want to take some regular thin ACC around the first 2-3 ties on each side of the joints to help anchor then down. These edges will be what get snagged, if anything.

  2. What kind of cutter is that? It can snip piano wire without ruining the edge?

    Please share!

    Thanks, Mitch
