CNJ Bronx Terminal Video
Some finally surfaced!
Phil Goldstein of INDUSTRIAL & OFFLINE TERMINAL RAILROADS OF BROOKLYN, QUEENS, STATEN ISLAND, BRONX & MANHATTAN fame sent me this bit of video shot in 1957 of the terminal. I was convinced there was none, but fortunately, I was wrong!
Comparing the video with some of the images I have, it would appear that the video was shot at the same time and day the stills were taken.
Thanks Phil!

Awesome find! And in color too!
Think of all the scrap paper required to detail the trackwork!
Glad to see you surfaced too Tim. 😉
Wow, awesome! Great shots showing the colour (color!) of the dirt, yes–the scrap paper, the weathering on the building too.
Tim, How did you animate your layout with moving autos and people???? Really neat to see the proto…
So, it seems that you have taken some time off. I have enjoyed starting from the beginning of this beautiful build and I am looking forward to the finish. Any news on when you might start building again?
Best regards,
Mike Olds
Very cool! Was watching a movie the other night and there was a shot of a train in New York and it made me think of this prototype and your layout. Glad there’s some video to go with it now.

Tim,
Noticed a decrease in updates on this site and no mention of further progress on your CNJ Bronx Terminal. Can we expect to see something soon or is the project on hold?
Thanks,
Dave
Yeah Tim, any updates? Your public would love to know. 🙂
One of these days I will click this link and see progress.
Seriously, what happened?
Chris
Ground control to Major Tim? Anyone? Bueller?
Hi! Very nice video. It looks like the track to the engine house is removed in this video. I wonder why? Did they get tired of placing the lose rails over the switch to get to it?
